QSP Sales - Important Information

QSP Sales end on October 22nd. Please be sure to return your order forms to Lucy, Rita or Barbara by October 22nd. Nuts etc. will arrive mid-November. In each packet, there is a QSP Nuts/Candy catalog, Top 100 Easy Pick Flier, order forms and gift order forms. There is also a fun Origami activity that the girls can complete on their own. Money for nuts/candy is collected at time of delivery. No money is collected at any time for magazines, books or music. QSP will invoice customers directly so be sure to write names and addresses clearly. For more information, go to http://www.gsnnj.org/productsales.html

Troop Proceeds:

  • 10% for each nut/candy item
  • 10% for each magazine subscription order
  • $3.00 for each completed Step 2 address booklet (10 valid names and addresses)
  • $3.00 for 12 or more email addresses entered through eStep2 at http://www.gsnnj.org/
Nuts and Candy:
New this year is a "Collector's" Girl Scout Tin which highlights the history of Girl Scouts. The Holiday Tin is a great gift idea for those "last minute" gifts we forget to buy! Fill out the Nut/Candy order form and return to your Troop Leader by October 22nd.

Address Booklets:
The troop gets $3.00 for 10 valid names and addresses in the Step 2 address booklet and you will get both the TYM patch and the 7-color light up pen. Return the completed address booklet by October 22nd. Girls are welcome to personalize the left side of the coupons, but we ask that an adult help them with the actual address on the right side. People will receive two mailings. The first is sent as soon as the coupons are entered, and the other about 2 weeks later as a reminder. NO MAILING LIST IS KEPT BY QSP.

"Netiquette" Activity and E-mail Collection:
The troop gets $3.00 for 12 e-mail addresses and you will receive the "Netiquette" patch. With the help or a parent or guardian, log onto http://www.gsnnj.org/ and follow the link for the "Netiquette" activity. You must use a parent/guardian's email address to register, and then complete the fun "Netiquette" activity. Once the activity is completed, you can upload 12 e-mail addresses and print the confirmation that it is done. Two e-mails are sent and they are meant to look like they came from the address that was used to register. Customers can then purchase magazines online. No profit is earned on purchases made this way.

Troop 675 Homework - September 28th

Our first meeting was so much fun! WOW! We now have grown to 15 girls! We worked on the "Numbers and Shapes" Try-It Patch this week. We made our own puzzles, did Japanese Origami and put together challenging wooden puzzles. Please post three things by clicking the comment link for this homework section. You'll have to enter a username and a password so ask a parent to help you. Write down your username and password so you have it for future comments.

1. What special place would you like to go to this year?
2. What would you like to do with our troop money this year? How can we help others with it?
3. Is there a patch that we haven't done that you would like us to do? Is there a subject you are interested in, like say history or sports, that you would like to do this year. It is our LAST year of brownies so we're trying to do as much as we can.

Remember, we may not be able to do all of your suggestions this year. There's NO GUARANTEE but we'll try to do as many as possible.

Welcome and Schedule

Welcome Troop 675!!!!

We’re looking forward to an exciting year of working together in groups, earning Brownie Girl Scout Try-Its, and exploring our community. Friendship, fun, and age-appropriate activities begin at the Brownie Girl Scout meeting and move out to the community and wider world. This is our last year as Brownies – next year we will be Jr. Girl Scouts! We are so happy that so many girls are coming back again this year and we even have some new girls this year!

Here's our schedule this year. Take note. All meetings will be held on Fridays from 3:30 – 4:45pm at the Harrington Park Library.

September 28th
October 26th (crafts with Mrs. Ciccorico)
November 16th
December 14th (tentative)
January 25th
February 29th
March 28th
April 18th
May 30th

Since we are meeting only once per month as Brownies, we will also be going on 3-4 trips this year and are looking for suggestions from parents. Post your suggestions! We'll see you on the 28th when we'll be earning our Numbers and Shapes Try-it patch by doing Origami and making puzzles!
